In 1997, I answered the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ our Savior. Instead of developing a close, healthy relationship with Jesus, I became stiff necked and hardened my heart toward Him. Eventually, I quit ministering, and then church altogether.
In August of 2022, feeling lost and empty, I finally kneeled down and asked God why it never worked out between us. He spoke very clearly to me. He said, “You have never desired a relationship with me.” I begged him to show me. I began praying and reading his word every morning and night.
On December 28th, 2024, I surrendered all to him. I would like to say that life has been a piece of cake since that day; however, it has been quite the opposite. I had far more earthly treasures before that day than now, but I have come to realize my relationship with Jesus Christ is what I cherish the most. My joy is found in knowing that I have an eternal life Jesus awaiting me once this life is over. I have set back and watched as Jesus has and is continually putting those broken pieces of my life back together. Matthew 16:26 says, “For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Our Mission
Hello, my name is Eric Garrett. Through my own struggles and shortcomings in my relationship with Jesus over the years, I’ve come to recognize the essential elements needed to build a deep, intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior. It’s also very important to speak truthfully about sin and its impact on that relationship. The greatest tragedy is not any one sin – it’s leaving this life without knowing Jesus Christ. In today’s world, we must stop pointing fingers at others just because their sins may look different from ours. Jesus conquered sin for all of us by giving his life on the cross. Love won that day as is should everyday!
